Popeye in High Seas High-Jinks (Prototype)

Player's Review
This game in the Popeye series was going to be released in 1994, along with a volleyball game and the Japan-only SNES title, however it was cancelled despite being a near complete product.
It plays like a regular platformer game, you pick up items and kill enemies through a set of eight stages, some of them featuring a boss and, with exception of the final stage, the chance to play a bonus minigame for extra points and also some health refill. In terms of difficulty it's fairly easy to complete, after picking up the spinach can you may feel like you're 'invincible' when you get hurt, but no, the health counter will eventually drop.
00:00 - Start
00:55 - Popeye's Boat Yard
03:20 - Port at Jeep Island
06:07 - Jeep Island Underground
09:04 - Goon Lagoon
11:48 - Goon Town
14:59 - Port at Vulture Isle
18:51 - Pirate's Grotto
21:15 - Sea Hag's Fortress
24:24 - Ending & credits
