Player's Review

"NOW THE STORM HITS THE JUNGLE - The Desert madman is dead - now his vicious son plots a nuclear strike against the U.S.A. He's enlisted a powerful ally - a ruthless South American Drug Lord with an army of hi-tech mercenaries. It's YOUR mission to take them out!"

This isn't a very optimal playthrough and takes me longer to complete then it should have. It would have been more time efficient to lose lives and continue on then chase down armour/fuel/ammo to stay alive.

The game is a bit linier then the first game in that it doesn't always allow you to do missions out of order. The game features more campaigns. but more streamlined levels. That said, some missions often make you go through danger zones (ones you shouldn't be in yet) which causes enemy's to be tougher than usual. This makes me more careful and takes longer to get the job done.

Some nice editions to the game are the use of different vehicles for various missions. It changed the game dynamic a bit and stops the game feeling samey.

I didn't like the night mission much. Quite difficult to see targets. The snow fortress mission went to hell as I couldn't pick up the commander until I had unloaded the chopper. problem here was the drop point was a danger zone making the enemies really tough to kill, and I didn't realise I needed to shoot the igloo to land lol.

I'm a bit annoyed with myself for not completing the Jungle mission with the Stealth fighter, but I was having a real hard time aiming with that thing and it just made my playthrough look bad. A little odd that the cutscene that followed shows the stealth in action even though I used the chopper Wink

One last note. At the end it says 'No Cows were harmed during the making of this game'. I only found one cow in the game which I shot for bonus points at the end of the mission. Now I wonder if there were more scattered about! I can't find any articles on this aspect of the game.
