Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution!

The lost GameBoy Advance Shantae game finally finished, polished, and released for modern consoles...and a GBA cartridge for maximum nostalgia value. Shantae Advance takes place story wise between the events of the first Shantae, and before Risky's Revenge. This time, Risky Boots has found a means to literally revolve sections of the world and cause them to switch to entirely different locations. Not only is it up to Shantae to stop Risky Boots from carrying out her plan for world conquest, but now she needs to literally piece the world back together and put each location back into it's proper environment.

For this playthrough, I manage to collect every collectable including all those oh so lovely secret squids. Since this game doesn't have a map feature at all, I do wander a lot more than I did in Risky's Revenge. This game features a simpler version of the plane shifting mechanic from Risky's Revenge where the areas that host the dungeons have two layers to them, which you not only switch between for progression, but also relocate to continue on. Interesting mechanic, not going to lie. But the lack of a map means I don't know which caves I've visited or not, or if I forgot a section in caves I did explore, leading to a bunch of repeated visits. I also did not obtain 100% as I didn't purchase everything in the shop, the only requirement I did not fulfill.

For those wondering, the beach costume is Magic Mode. Your defense is reduced in exchange for more magic. Like all the other costumes, it's a change in gameplay style, but not in the core game. So that's why I didn't show any alternative costumes off.
