Famicom Disk System exclusive action RPG that reminds of the first The Legend of Zelda title to some extent.
The plot is about some boy who opens some book and a strange force absorbs him in, and to return home he has to defeat the source of all evil and also find a couple of treasures (in order to receive the full riddle needed to finish the game).
The game consists of five worlds, each one with a boss. As you progress through it, random encounters get a bump in their stats, requiring grinding to advance sometimes. Until level 18 or so you also learn a magic spell that can be useful depending on the circumstance, these are PSI Beam, Esper Light (only used in pitch dark caves), Teleport, Barrier, HP Repair, Time Stop and Flash (this one kills everything but does not work against bosses), these spells are shown at least once except for Flash since that one consumes a lot of magic power. Some of the items here can be traded for others that are actually required, while others can be sold to certain people for extra gold, though these rewards can only be gotten once so a good management of your gold is recommended.
