Kiki KaiKai: Dotou-hen (Fan Translation)

'A port of the arcade shooter of the same name, Kiki Kaikai Dotou Hen puts you in the shoes of Shinto priestess Sayo, as she traverses feudal Japan in hopes of rescuing the ancient spirits of luck that have been taken captive by a collection of monsters straight out of Japanese folklore.'

The game plays pretty much similar to the Arcade release, and was the base for the TGX16 port. In 2 players mode, the second character that appears when Player 1 loses a life is a recolored Sayo with green pants instead of red, while keeping the same set of weapons. The white cards have two functions here: they work as a ranged weapon (and can be upgraded for better attack power) and also as currency in shops, plus that you can get plenty of them either after a bossfight or by swinging your baton at certain spots 20 times.

In the longplay I tackle all dungeons in order (according to the FAQ in StrategyWiki site), these dungeons share literally the same design and set of enemies except for the boss you encounter at the end.
