Line of Fire

'You've broken through enemy lines, you've captured the Rapier machine gun.... now you have to get back to base... but first you will have to cross the Line of Fire. Get ready for unlimited fire power, pilot high speed powerboats - through white water rapids, aircraft over dense jungles, advancing and reversing; circling 360, dodging helicopter squadrons out to get you. Getting in was tough - getting out alive will be damned near impossible! Line of Fire ... This time they've gone too far!'

The player controls a member of a two-man commando team who has been charged with going behind enemy lines to bring down a terrorist organization which has access to a large arsenal of weaponry. During the mission, the team finds a "special weapon", which is a vehicle mounted, automatic machine pistol, and must report their findings. However, the player is faced with many enemy troops and military vehicles which need to be destroyed in order for the commando squad to escape in the jeep, and must use the "special weapon" against the terrorists.

The game runs on the Sega X Board arcade hardware, which is a direct predecessor to the Y Board hardware used for Rail Chase. Played on default cabinet settings (difficulty is set to Normal), though even with that later stages can be unforgiving unless you use the bombs in a rational way.
