Player's Review
Cave shmup.
I think it is something about a military and a bee. Iunno. shmups = no plot.
Said to be the hardest Cave game ever! Plays like previous Donpachi games and introduces the Hyper system. Filling up a gauge will drop a Hyper power-up, which can be stacked 5 times. Using Hyper Mode will grant you a more powerful Shot and Laser (more Hypers = more damage), insane chaining, and temporary invincibility upon activation. The catch?: the game becomes REALLY mad, making enemy shots go faster. The game kinda isn't all that bad if you don't use Hyper...then score would be low.
For this noob longplay, I go through both loops with no skills what-so-ever with A-EX (my personal best is either 1-2 Boss or 1-3). I can't chain worth crap. It probably would've been more manageable if I enabled Button C (Auto-Shot). =/ Reaching the second loop demands either: finding 10 hidden Bees in 3 stages without blowing up until you reach the boss of the stage, not blowing up 2 times, or not dropping 3 bombs. Due to fail reading comprehension, I fulfill all three requirements. =P I would've dropped more bombs. Second loop makes the game REALLY hard and at the end lies Hibachi, everyone's favorite bee of destruction! There are a few problems with the sound (Stage 4 BGM is sped up and TLB music is slowed down), but it isn't all that bad (well, TLB losses all sense of epicness.).
This game pwned me hard, but since it has an awesome music (favorites would be Stage 1, Stage 3, Boss music, and Stage Clear), I forgive it. :3
This video offends me, especially when there were times I would blow up but didn't. This video would also offend legit DOJ players. This video shouldn't even exist! I'm sticking to easy shmups!
Because I know someone will spout crap about bullets and the ship not blowing: look up the word "hitbox".
"Watch out! Watch out!!"
