Shikigami no Shiro

Plot: 'In July 2005, a string of serial murders take place in Tokyo. All the victims are female and killed by external injury. The killings take place within 20 hours. On July 21, the 31st victim is found. The police force classify the case as special crime #568, and begin to seek investigators from occult sources. On July 23, there is a 32nd victim.'

The very first title in the Castle of Shikigami shmup series, which spawned two sequels and a revised version that is exclusive to the original Xbox. Released on the Taito G-NET arcade system which is based on PSX hardware with extra components added, the game was ported to PS2, Xbox and PC (Windows). Regarding the PS2 release, XS Games localized it for North America and Europe, but removing the game's plot and the ability to change the in-game screen layout.

In this longplay I complete the game with all six characters, including the secret one that can be enabled by the 'Up, Down, Up, Down, A, B, A, A, B, A+B+Start' button sequence. Each character has their own set of attacks, including the bomb animation, and obviously their own side in the game's plot.
