Player's Review

The original arcade version of Terminator 2 Judgment Day. Many of the 8 and 16 bit home systems recieved a convertion of this game and most are well done within the restraints of the platform. The can all be challanging to play with so much shooting at you bleeding your energy away but the arcade game is especially brutal taking away your real live coinage if you want to get to the end. The Arcade game is being played on default settings.

The game is a sideways light gun shooter with you playing as the T-800 across two main missions. The first getting through the battle torn future to infiltrate Skynet and get sent back in time. Mission two has you protecting John Conner as you destroy Cyberdyne Systems with the intent of total destruction for the best ending. You can miss more than a couple of items (less than 10) or you will get the bad ending. It's the drawers in the tables right on the bottom of the screen you need to watch for as easy to miss.

The Truck ride to Skynet is the hardest part in any version of the game just because it so easy to destroy the truck by your own rocket fire and if you don't take down the enemy quickly they will make quick work of you and the truck. If you can, rockets should be sabed ready for the next level as it wont give you any at the start and well the enemy will rip you apart if you cant take em apart with rockets.

Overall this is a great game and it was also one of the better buys on the Amiga with a great and authentic conversion.
