Player's Review

"Here's the deal... The New Order Nation - a powerful, corrupt alliance is crushing today's youth and destroying all things fun. It's a gruesome regime, under the iron rule of Headmistress Helga, RA a vicious vamp whose obvious attractions are fatal. Suddenly, America's premier rock band, Aerosmith, is abducted by NON forces. Now it's up to you to stop the destruction... and Music is the Weapon"! REJECT! REBEL! REVOLT!"

An Arcade scrolling shooter much like a previous Midway release terminator two except this time you have the option of three players! The game is played on default settings which while not as Brutal as Terminator two, can still chew you up given the chance especially if enemies are firing at you as they are drawn in. Almost everything is destructible leading to big point bonuses but due to the speed of the game you don't get much time to blink let alone explore shooting random stuff in the hope of revealing more cd's or better whilst being blasted by ever more enemies.

As well as hidden items to find there are also hidden objectives and a few secret rooms to find. Hidden rooms often have girls to recue leading to score bonuses as well as boxes of cd's to replenish your ammo. Hidden objectives in each level lead to finding Aerosmith band members to find not only leading to score bonuses but also unlocking the good ending if you find them all. occasionally there are shield and supergun, laserdisc special weapons to find which can really help but there is also a health bonus which appears very very rarely and never when you really need them like right at the start of the game when you don't need them at all!

Overall a good arcade rail shooter made better with Aerosmith. Not without it's problems like I feel it plays too fast not giving you time to shoot what you want to and slow weapon fire. When you get to Helga at the end she fires a killer shot at you that can take a third of your health and seemingly unavoidable. If you don't knock her back into the chair she will jump around taking killer shots at you. The game really wants to separate you from your credits to see the ending. The final boss Mondor isn't so bad as he can only hurt you when firing in your column but takes forever to take down. This is likely a test of endurance on the arcade light gun trigger. On the middle east level I drag the bus out right to the end to show how long you have but it can be destroyed not long after the third sphinx.
