Player's Review

"In an exciting and mysterious Japanese story, become a young intrepid oriental adventurer. Rami rides into battle on her trusty dragon "Spot" as she encounters an octopus sea monster, the U.S. Navy, and the Russian Army until she arrives at the ship of Dr. Pon. Dr. Pon, billed as the most intelligent creature on earth with an IQ of 1400, has the appearance of a racoon, appropriate for the thief that he is."

A standout title on the Sega CD released two years later in the US (one year in the EU) after the Japanese original. The game features plenty of Spoken FMV sequencies including a lengthy intro and cutscenes between levels as well as a full cd soundtrack to compliment each level of the game. The animated sequences are a bit shorter than in the original Japanese release and there might be some differences in the attack waves.

There is a lot of gfx tearing due to sprite limits and this can cause some problems as enemy projectiles get lost in the flicker and can kill you without you knowing what did it . Control is straight forward with a single fire button that auto fires and a special that can fire off one of your birds in a blast wave killing enemies when the screen gets busy. Sacrificing a bird limits your firepower but fear not as letting go of fire for a few seconds will restore the bird power. Power ups will appear allowing you to level up your main weapon in either single beam or multibeam. A choice of three secondary fireweapons are also available and can be levelled up also.
