Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryu to Hikari no Tsurugi (Fan Translation)

This is better know as FE1 or just as the first Fire Emblem, and it's considered to be the the first strategy/simulation rpg ever. They basically took the base of Famicom Wars and added elements from the jrpgs of the time, like the unique characters, equipment, leveling up system and the fantasy/medieval setting. The game is nothing short of amazing, considering how innovative it is, it surprised me to see how complete the game feels with all the variety of units, weapons, number of maps, and quite good music and graphics. It has been remade twice (for Snes and NDS), and there is no real reason to recommend it over the newer versions (the inventory system is a nightmare), but no doubt the game has some historical value.
