Player's Review
Platformer by Konami. Based on the Japan-only Chi no Rondo (Rondo of Blood) on PC Engine CD (TurboGrafx-CD).
Follow a d00d with a whip as he goes around Europe or summin' to find Batman...who is back...again.
Gameplay goes back to more classic Castlevania stuff (more classic than IV). In this game, you can exchange sub-weapons if you picked one up accidentally (until it goes down a pit. :-D) and can spend your hearts to do an Item Crash (essentially a supermove with the subweapon in question). The backflip is also present in this game, like Rondo. Useful for some navigating or dodging stuffs.
This longplay no-skills the game three times to show all endings. I DID try to do it without abusing the savestates on the 3rd run, but Stage 5' was kicking my ass. It's mainly the boss. I did try later, but Death said "No.". Then there's Stage 3 and 4, but that can kinda be cheesed a bit by just completing Stage 3 with the key and copying the password in the background to restart 4 with the key. HAVE to get past the pit area in Stage 3 for it to even matter. =P This game has prolly THE worst Batman fight in the series.
