Player's Review

Brandish is an action RPG/Dungeon Crawler game by Nihon Falcom.

Brandish revolves around a place called Berymia, protected by a dragon who lives in a giant tower free from any danger county. One day, the king Berebus, very unhappy with so much joy and prosperity (and enormous greed), has the brilliant idea of expanding the kingdom. For this feat, he orders his troops to climb the tower, destroying the dragon and take its power. However, their plan ends up not working too well, because the enormous power of the dragon ends up cursing Berebus, turning it into an uncontrollable monster. Only it was not only he who suffered the consequences, ALL Berymia, including the tower, eventually sinking in a sea of sand.

One day a warrior named Varik, who struggled with his rival Alexis precisely on the ruins of Berymia, eventually being swallowed along with her into the depths of what remained of the county ... Now the goal is to get out alive Varik in control of this place cursed, and fall, his eyes to discover how all this will end.

The game is an RPG with non fixed perspective, even where it is necessary to "rotate" the vision to move. To make it easier to play it is advisable to activate the L/R Rotate option and get the scroll of teleportation (without it you can end up suffering, don't forget this scroll), I prefer to pass this game faster (i don't collect dimensional boxes, but this is useful to stock items), on stage Fortress 4F (more precisely in the passage: 2:59:03 where you need to have a Ring of Life, die in a hole without pressing a key and the character "float" allowing you to open that door (because this puzzle is very complicated) the game is extremely different from the usual gameplay is difficult, a bit frustrating and confusing to some players, which probably explains they no longer have launched this series in the west (this is only version released in west, other versions released only in Japan). Done with best ending (save Alexis)!
