I loved the James Pond series as a kid but I never had chance to play this spin-off and it looked quite fun on TV. Overall the game is pretty short and probably a lot more fun with friends.
I played through the game twice as my first run (finishes around 13:30) I hadn't collected all gold medals. In my second run I gather all golds however I still couldn't find the last bonus letter and I can't find anything about it online.
