Sonic Classic Collection

Player's Review
A compilation of all 4 classic Sonic the Hedgehog games released for the Sega Genesis. Sonic Classic Collection, released in 2010 for the Nintendo DS, features Sonic the Hedgehog (1991), Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (1992), Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (1994), and Sonic & Knuckles (1994) as well as Knuckles in Sonic 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles.
For this playthrough, I complete every game in the collection.
Sonic 1: Just running and jumping. I do get all the chaos emeralds and get the good ending.
Sonic 2: A single run through with both Sonic and Tails. Tails doesn't have his flying ability here, so there was no point in completing the game more than once.
Sonic 3: Same thing. Just a single run with Sonic and Tails. Tails can fly here, but I decided to hold off on his run until Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles to show off his play style.
Sonic & Knuckles: I play both Sonic and Knuckles' stories as Knuckles' story is different, taking place after Sonic's story, and also contains alternate pathways in each stage. The story element is lost when playing Sonic 3 & Knuckles, so that's why Knuckles gets a dedicated run here.
Knuckles in Sonic 2: Available when you attach the Sonic 2 cartridge to Sonic & Knuckles. Nothing much except it's Sonic 2 with Knuckles. It's part of the compilation here, so why not?
Sonic 3 & Knuckles: The biggest entry in the entire collection and what many call the true Sonic the Hedgehog 3. I do a run through of every character alone in three separate play through as each have a unique gameplay style with Knuckles specifically getting alternative pathways.
