This game seems to be aimed at relatively younger audiences, since the gameplay mechanics here are pretty simple (except maybe for the few sections where it's required to use wall jumping), not to mention it was made with the purpose of promoting the franchise and also the movie of the same name. An identical port for WiiU also exists which also bumps resolution of textures and has minor fixes.
You start off as Frankie who has to rescue her ghoul friends first so that her crew can be ready to break the curse on Whisp who's taking advantage of it to become a Shadow Genie. The main objective is just to pick up the mirror piece at the end of each stage, though there is a set of sub-objectives such as picking up a specific ghoul's Skullette that are just there for the sake of 'completion'. To be honest this subquest is optional and does not unlock anything; however after credits I attached a quick footage of each Skullette that wasn't picked up in the playthrough. I should also mention that each ghoul has their own special power known as 'Freaky Flaw', allowing them to reach certain points that other ghouls cannot.
During the main mode you also find the so-called Hidden Skullettes which are identified by a grey shield with Monster High logo printed onto them, I made sure to pick them all. Doing this unlocks another optional subquest which involves interacting with NPCs and fulfilling their requests, check timestamps for reference and for those who are wondering, this also doesn't reward you with anything upon completion of every single request.
