In 2002, the elite U.S. Army unit F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) was established to confront paranormal threats to national security. Set in 2025 in the fictional city of Fairport, the game begins when the unit is joined by a newly assigned sergeant known only as Point Man.

This game is released in 2005, and it still looks good.

  Those are standalone expansions that don't require the original game to run. Even on Xbox 360 they were released on a separate disc as F.E.A.R. Files.
