The first game in the Wipeout series and one of the earliest games to show what the Playstation was capable of when the console launched

The game only has 7 tracks and 2 championships but it is also hard as nails so it wasn't over within an hour of getting the game. The game was radically different to anything we had been playing on our 16bit machines prior to the playstation release.

The video shows progression through the Venom and Rapier Championships which unlocks the firestar track. I then play the Rapier Championship again which now contains the firestar track to complete the game. After the credits I show the firestar track again using the remaining racing team just to show the 4th and last craft in use. (I use a different craft in each championship). All 4 ships handle differently and cockpit view is the default with this game and I actually find the game easier in this view as it doesn't tilt as much as it does in the later games.
