Destruction Derby 2

Another successful game although mainly because of the first game and not because this one is fun to play. For this sequel, they added a high speed game engine and large racing circuits but they forgot to transfer the gameplay over.

I play Stock Car racing mode as I find Wrecking Racing completely unplayable. The strategy from the first game no longer works. You cant race and try for damage points as the opponent cars fly around the track making it difficult to keep up with them, and if you try to bash them, you endup crashing yourself. So that leaves driving backwards and hitting on coming cars and hoping you gain enough points to beat the opponent cars before yours dies. The opponent cars rack up large points so its very annoying to have to try and keep up with them and re-race until you get enough points to continue by a stroke of luck.

So I played Stack Car mode instead which is just a race to first place finish. I just race...but its one of the most fierce games for 1st place I have played. the opponent cars don't just let you win especially as the championship progresses. You will still see some car smash-ups in this mode, but no need to worry about points. I take the pro car as the speed is very important and I wont be deliberately try to smash other cars.

Once the championship is completed I show the death bowls and replays to show these arenas as they are not played as part of stock car racing. This mode is badly broken and not fun at all. All the opponent cars are gunning for you so you don't get to try an knock the opponent cars about. not fun at all. This mode worked perfectly well in the first game.

I close the video with a quick go in Wreckin racing mode just to show how bad it can be. I then add a cheat to show the credits. I have no idea if it is possible to unlock these with normal play.
