Player's Review

""Disruptor is a video game for the PlayStation. It was the first game by developer Insomniac Games, who would later go on to create the popular Spyro the Dragon, Ratchet & Clank, and Resistance series.[1] Disruptor started its development as a 3DO game." -Wikipedia

There were a lot of first person shooters / doom clones coming out for all the various systems in the late 90s. A lot of them are pretty forgettable for various reasons but this is not one of them. The PlayStation is showing it is up to the task of creating a smooth fps game with plenty of weapons and game play elements such as the Psionic powers to keep it interesting. FMV that we all know and love from the late 90s is used to present the story and objectives of the game.

I have played through all missions on the standard difficulty and although I tried to get 100% completion in each level, this proved rather annoying to achieve and I got fed up of retrying. You pretty much need to make sure you attempt to collect every pick up needed or not as well as walk on every floor tile and find the secret rooms if their are any. It wont change the outcome of the game, but I would have liked to achieve 100% in every level.

After scoffing at the crappy ending 'Now Try Hard mode' I didn't want to go through whole game again and it turns out there is an alternate ending. You think I would have learned my lesson from previous longplays and developers abusing the difficulty options to lock content. Unfortunately for me, there did not seem to be any published pass codes for Hard mode so I had to check through all ytube vids to see if anybody showed a password for the final level. I found one and used it to show the final level and ending for Hard mode.

02:14:50 Mission 13 (Fortress) + Ending.

I say unfortunately as at the time I did not know that the password also contained a cheat mode (all weapons unlocked I think) so I did not get the proper ending although the fmv I wanted is shown. The final screen shown should have said 'You Rock, See you next game'
