Player's Review
Interesting 3rd person shoot em up on the ole ps1. Its quite short with only six or seven levels, but there is story and cinematic's in-between to pad them out. Technically it is quite good for a ps1 game with nice gfx and effects and different enemy and weapon types and changes in environment while you pretty much play on rails constantly moving forward.
I play on hard difficulty to give me best chance of getting A Rank. yeah a ranking system in this game, I hate those although I try to do well, but hate it when the game tells me I sucked because I didn't stick around to kill everything. In light of this you will find that i do hang around in a few parts just to get a couple of enemies before the boss goes down as the shooter rating is important to the the ranking as is how much energy you have left at the end of the level. There are no pickups during the levels so there is no health re-gen. If you need a continue it may start you at a checkpoint.
After completing each level, you unlock new weapons. In hindsight I should have used these to show them off but instead I stuck with what works throughout the longplay. Avoiding enemy fire is not so easy as it generally fires right at you in the face, so you need to be always moving to see where all the enemy fire is going.
There are a few problems that may be emu related or cd iso related or maybe just badly made game where there will be sections where there is no background music at all, mainly in the story sections.
The story sections are an absolute minimum rpg type element where I run around the ship to the various areas where characters hang out. Characters might have different things to say depending on your ranking from a previous level. I complete the game with A Ranking which gives me the best ending. At the very end of the video I show the not so good ending for B Ranking. There may be other differences for lower ranking but I do not know.
