Player's Review

From Wiki "Medal of Honor: Underground is a video game that is the prequel to the World War II hit Medal of Honor. In Underground, the player takes the role of Manon Batiste (based on H?l?ne Deschamps Adams), a French woman who appeared in the first game as an advisor. The plot of the game begins before the original Medal of Honor, when Manon fights for the French Resistance before America entered the war. As the plot progresses, Manon is recruited to the OSS and takes on covert missions in occupied Europe and Africa. Missions include the sabotage of a V-1 flying bomb factory and rescuing prisoners of war. Levels include, occupied Greece, North Africa, Monte Cassino and Germany. The first and last levels are set in Paris, at the beginning and end of the Nazi occupation."

This is another mixed resolution game and has been recorded in the native hardware resolution. It may be best to aspect correct the video in your player to 16:9 which will allow the gameplay to look correct in a more fitting 4:3. It will stretch the videos of course but they look more acceptable than squished gameplay.

The mission might look a bit odd as the default controls are crap and I could not get them to do what I wanted during play, so it looks a little robotic. Before starting the second mission I sort the controls out to work better with dual analogue sticks so it feels more natural and modern and easier to work with from that point on. Sometimes you will see me backtrack through missions. I do this as sometimes soldiers don't spawn and I need to go back and find them to kill them in order to get excellent rating at the end (as well as needing 75% minimum health). One of the early missions a shamefully miss an objective and have to march back to the beginning and back again, sorry about that.

The game has an annoying mechanic of requiring the need to kill every soldier on the level in order to get Excellent rating at the end. This means that for the sneaking missions I still have to kill em all anyway so probably not playing the levels as intended. I get Excellent rating on every mission in order to unlock all the secret options to give the levels some replay ability. You do have to complete a mission first before you can replay with the cheats though. Strangely, wacky taxi mode would not unlock after the final mission like it is supposed to. Maybe I was supposed to save the robot, I don't know :S

After all the missions are completed I show the making of videos that have been unlocked while completing missions followed by the games credits. I then confirm game is 100% completed via savegame and then proceed to show a couple more hidden developer slideshows via secret passwords.
