We are still waiting on a suitable Amiga AGA emulator with robust recording features before tackling such games.

Player's Review
An import friendly Japanese only release by Virgin Games and is completely in English with Japanese subtitles (can also be played in Japanese).
The game uses a similar hires screen setup as Ridge Racer Turbo 320x480 (doubled to 640x480 and every other frame is a half frame. Its really quite strange but does give the game a notable higher resolution than most ps1 games.
The game is not bad and plays quite similar to Panzer Dragon. Cheesy FMV is provided in the style of wing commander. I play on Expert which is no fun at all as I spend more time dodging fire and shooting down rockets then killing my targets in order to survive the level. The end of level bosses take a long time to kill for the previously noted reason. It would have been nice if Gamera was just a bit more powerful. The game would be a lot more enjoyable on Normal. The game also offers a Family mode which is a co-op mode and quite challenging to play as you both have influence on the camera
The controls are quite sluggish making it difficult to aim at times against the speed of the enemy and their weapons. Controls are a little strange, concidering the pad has four buttons, the game uses two. Both X and O fire your lasers, but holding X charges Gameras Homing rockets and holding circle charges his Spinning attack which also has a cool down period.
There are 3 endings to the game, one for each difficulty but non can be considered a good or bad ending. The game ends with the Gold Ending. With silver and bronze following after the credits.
01:13:07 - As i'm in expert mode, I allow myself to die which gives the Gamera shot down fmv. If you fail a second time, you get option to continue which takes you right back to the start of the dragon fortress. So after that fmv, I beat the level and get the Silver ending which I fully expect is the Normal mode ending.
01:14:45 - I completed the final level on Easy mode to bring the Bronze Ending.
