Player's Review

Redefining the budget game and giving you as little as possible comes Omega Assault from PheonixGames on the PlayStation.

There is no intro and you pretty much just dive right into the game. The objective is to get through 13 missions (The box says 12!) to briefly see the end picture and enter your name. The levels are not all that varied. You shoot the same ole mechs on every level and try to dodge their shots. The levels cycle between day/night and it may be coincidence, but health pickups only seem to drop in the day. The later levels go on for a while as you have to kill so many, and you cant take many hits so there is a lot of dodging going on.

I could have cleared the early levels faster if I used the smart bombs, but I set out to go after the highest score at the start of the game. However mid way I was just fed up with it and wanted it over with and used the bombs, but you don't get and kill score when you use them. Unfortunately, I used them to often and don't make the top score.
