Player's Review

From Wiki:- "Retro Force is a Shoot-'em up game that is published and developed by Psygnosis Ltd. It is set to be based in the future where 4 brave pilots must travel back in time in order to bring back the lost pieces of the holy artifact, Retro Force was released on March 1999 which is only released in Europe, The soundtrack to the game was composed By Gary Mckill."

Not much I want to add to that. The game seems to be a euro shmup that wants to be a Japanese shmup. The game isn't a lot of fun and the whole game is dark. There are parts of the game where its rains bullets, but I wouldn't call it bullet hell. The problem is the ship inertia so you can't quickly correct your direction. The 3D amera doesn't help as when you change position to better target the enemy, the way the camera moves disrupt your movement and any bullets on screen kind of slide with the camera and you accidently hit them even if they look easy to avoid.

I didn't play that well, and the having to try to target different enemies with bombs and air stuff with shots adds to its annoyance. any shots fired at you can get you as the multi layer does seem to matter for enemy shots. I played on Hard which unlocks Nightmare at the end. I didn't want to go through this again as it just wasn't enjoyable.
