Player's Review

The City of Lost Children PlayStation port published by Psygnosis in 1997 and based on the original French movie: La cit? des enfants perdus) 1995 French-German-Spanish science fantasy drama film directed by Marc Caro and Jean-Pierre Jeunet and starring Ron Perlman.

The game plays like a point and click adventure where you play as Miette and solve the puzzles int he game. The game is split into 4 parts and is overall quite short once you know what to do. The game is quite difficult as there is not much in the way of clues and objects are not all represented by visual items. You pretty much have to be precise down to the pixel and be in the exact spot the game wants before it will let you know there is an item to pick up. It is not made clear at all what you can interact with.

The game game seems somehow incomplete and the final ending animation seems to present what could have been more puzzle solving. After the credits I show the cellar and warehouse where you endup if you get caught. I think I should have done these as part of my play through in hindsight. Finally, I show a bad ending to the game. There may be more in the game but I didn't come across any more.
