Shmup by Squaresoft. Surprising!
Something about denizens of the Earth and the Moon beefing with each other and some Einhander d00d or something shooting the spaecships. OH, and German is the important language! That's a cool thing. There's a plot somewhere in there!
Gameplay involves piloting a ship (each different) and shooting things. You can also grab Gunpods so you have a bit more firepower. Defeating enemies quickly (and using fun weapons to defeat enemies simultaneously) will increase the chain gauge. Fill the chain gauge up and you get lots of points yes. Hidden in stages are S. Bonuses. Have to go out of your way to get them but worth it for BIG POINTS! Also hidden in some stages are secret weapons. Some are cleverly hidden, though one I'm sure EVERYONE has at least found is the Juno in Stage 4 because the tower the pops out gets SUPER aggressive.
This longplay no-skills the game on Normal with Endymion mk.3 while collecting all S. Bonus and secret weapons. I never was good at this game. Stage 4 almost always bodies me and Stage 5 is..well, Stage 5. lol
