Player's Review

"Rescue your princess and defeat Jafar to break his evil spell"
Starring Keeley Hawes & Matthew Macfayden

A puzzle game based on the tale from One Thousand and One Nights.

There are six kinds of puzzles, and four of each kind. Unfortunately this doesn't make for much variety: the ideas are good (if not original) but the solutions never get really complicated because there isn't that much time or space to ramp up the difficulty. After finishing every temple you're left wondering why they didn't build more levels, even just because there isn't another game with logic puzzles quite like these on PS2. This could have been a great compilation, but we're left with only 24 easy levels. Also, the pushing blocks puzzles are so slow they take up almost half of the playthrough. Maybe I would have sped up those animations a bit.

In the playthrough I look around the main hub (mostly empty anyway) and solve every puzzle trying to use an optimal strategy. I reset sometimes to show how that works.
