Gradius (TG-16 Mini)

Gradius is a side-scrolling shooter video game developed and published by Konami. The first game in the Gradius series, it was originally released as a coin-operated arcade game in 1985. The player maneuvers a spacecraft known as the Vic Viper that must defend itself from the various alien enemies. The game uses a power-up system called the "power meter", based upon collecting capsules to purchase additional weapons.

This 'near arcade' version of the game is exclusive to the TurboGrafx-16 Mini, and can be triggered by pressing Select when the game's choice is on the screen. This video was done mainly to show off the differences in terms of audio and some graphics to match those in the original Arcade version. I should note this version removes the exclusive 'Wasteland' level that was added to the standard TurboGrafx release.
