Player's Review
RPG by Spacebot Interactive.
Follow Kris as he gets his trusty spear and goes on a quest to find his father.
Game is a good ol' turn-based RPG: you each take turns beating the stuffing out of each other. Nothing TOO complex...except for how the level up system works. The information is all in the manual. Actually, this WHOLE game is a RTFM game!...kinda. The manual tells you how to raise stats and there's also an alphabet section to translate the funny characters to figure out WHAT to do (what stopped me from advancing the game without using a guide). That and a tricky puzzle or two aside, this game is actually kinda dope.
This longplay attempts 100%: I get all weapons, all armor, all trading cards, and all Golden Dragon Statues. This longplay would've been MUCH shorter if I wasn't going for the Golden Dragon Statues. Essentially, I had to play through the majority of the game with 4 Strength and 4 Magic (you can easily each max stats at around...45? Might be lower), don't get poisoned (water dungeon is HELL!), don't run away (but why would I when I need EXP
), and no teleporting! One statue is pretty much free if you explore a lot (defeat a high level mob in a cave). The Harpoon Gun is definitely not worth the effort if you are going for No Poison. I also show both versions of the ending as well as get the extended ending. There be LOTS of grinding at the beginning and at the end while getting the Strength and Magic dragon statues and the 2 Trading Cards (have to have all 4 Dragon cards for them to appear. One on each route). There's also lots of game over'ing towards the end because Golden Dragon Statues and the cards say so!
