"AMAZING PLAYABILITY!!! - features a very competitive two player option. 14 cunningly devised circuits-under bridges-through oil patches-power sliding around corners-trying to beat the other drivers and the lap record!

This might have been the first Simulator from the Oliver Twins following on from BMX Simulator by the Darlings released by Codemasters in 1986. The simulator series is very much a mixed bag and the simulator name very much overused but thankfully Grand Prix is on of the better games.

I guess it is kind of like super Sprint. There are 14 courses to play through in one or two player. I'm playing solo here and you have to win every race in order to move onto the next else it's game over.

Overall, this is a good game and one to keep going back to but it's not the easier game to play. Sometimes the cpu opponent will appear slow and dumb giving you an easy time, but on the next track it may be relentless in it's pursuit of first place. The controls are responsive and gameplay smooth but there does have a tendency to slide so you have to be careful with your speed around corners. The most damning thing though is that both cars are the same colour making it difficult to know who is who and that will likely catch you out before the controls do. If you make a mistake in a tunnel, it may as well be game over.
