Paris to Dakar is unsurprisingly a Rally racing game pitting you against the clock to get across Paris, Spain, Sahara desert and Africa. At the start you can pick from three vehicles. I go with the standard car which is a balanced machine. You can also take a bike which excels in speed but cant take much punishment. Then there is the truck which is slower but can absorb the hits.
During the race you will find obstacles in the road which will slow you down if hit. Items to collect include Fuel, Repair Damage, Wings for further jumps and flags which you must passthrough to claim extra time. The other vehicles will be looking to bash you around a bit so sometimes it's better to get in there first.
Overall, the game can be quite difficult due to the way it is displayed. There is some sense of speed but there is so much to crash into and not a lot of time to get in the right position to pass it safely. the flickery strippy road plays havok on the eyes making the challenge more about enduring the eye pain rather than beating the race which isn't too difficult as long as your collecting the powerups.
