We are still waiting on a suitable Amiga AGA emulator with robust recording features before tackling such games.

Spectrum 48k
Dan dare II: Mekons Revenge released in 1988. Again a very colourful effort for the 48k making best use of the Spectrums limited hardware abilities. The game it self is a kind of puzzle shooter this time a blazing fast. again the game is very hard if you do not know where to go as the enemies hit hard and you have a tight time limit. It doesn't help that you are fighting gravity as well while trying to fly your chair through corridors. To beat the time you need to plan ahead your route and make sure you don't shoot any control units before you take down the shield. once you hit a control unit the destruct timer starts and some are behind shields so you really want to take the shield down first. The enemies can be brutal sometimes and again the collision detection can be a bit off.
After completing the 4 levels I attempt Mekons Mission. I tried so many times to do this but the timer is just to tight and counts down faster each time you shoot a panel. There is probably a perfect route but after some hours I couldn't be bothered any more and really didn't want to do all 4 levels of it. The video shows my failed attempt.
