We are still waiting on a suitable Amiga AGA emulator with robust recording features before tackling such games.

Power Drift arcade conversion to the Spectrum by Activision in 1989.
Although the game looks very ...Spectrum, enough detail remains to make it recognisable as Power Drift even though it seems to be re-using wec le mans racing engine (amongst a few other racing games). It looks different to all the other conversions but the core game is still intact. A good sense of speed is retained while you slide round the track past the other racers although the racer in 1st will always put up a challenge and if you crash its unlikely you will take first place as the opposition never crashes. Complete 5 races in first and you get to race on a bonus sixth.
The game does have music which is good but only 1 track. It is a shame as couse specific tunes from the acade version would have really added polish to this conversion. It does seem random if you will get music or sfx in each race. There are 5 different course sets to play on and while I do show all tracks in this video, there is no reward for completing them all. I need a special credit roll for my sense of pride and accomplishment!
