We are still waiting on a suitable Amiga AGA emulator with robust recording features before tackling such games.

Spectrum 48k
Star Wars arcade conversion by Domark released in 1987. Note that this is after 3D Star Strike which would have made a better Star Wars game on the Spectrum.
The game is a little slow but mostly plays exactly like the Arcade original. The game is endless but I play through a few levels just to show the difficulty progression. Shooting the surface turrets is the most difficult level as some appear off the side of the screen and once you miss them they are gone and no longer able to get the all hit level bonus.
The game has no sound apart from the beeper rendition of the title tune. The loader message states that it is to reduce slow down but I think that's half truth as will be shown in the next game. All they had to do was add a simple sfx on/off function so the player could decide what is fast enough. Also by this time they should have been taking advantage of the 128k systems.
