Player's Review

"Follow up to Moon Cresta. Now for your home computer. Pilot your space fighter over the planet eliminating all alien life forms on it's surface. Build up fire power on board as you dodge missiles launched from land silos and under-sea bunkers. Face the giant Death Star at the end of each orbit. You will need nerves of steel to pass this test!"

A challenging arcade shoot em up conversion made more so by the c64 chunky gfx with its large sprites taking up a lot of screen space. Once you get all the ship addons it becomes very difficult to dodge enemy fire as your hitbox is just as large.

The video opens up with a nice piece of classical sid music from Martin Galway. As with most of his tunes, they hit the sid filters hard which doesn't always sound right with emulation but even on real hardware, you need his exact R3 revision to hear it as intended. It's not too bad here though. The in game music is a constant loop which grinds after a while and not helped by constant interruption from the sfx.

Overall not a bad game for a 1986 conversion, but it's not the most fun either due to the extra challenge generated by the large c64 sprites. The game loops after the third boss as well as the difficulty ramping up as you progress. The game is endless but i playthrough 5 orbits.
