Player's Review

"In 2013, Bruno R. Marcos released a spiritual successor to the Bruce Lee game on his website www.bruneras.com. The game was called Bruce Lee II. It featured an Amstrad CPC mode and a Commodore 64 mode which gave the game a retro look like it was created for those two platforms in the first place. It also featured sampled sound from the 1984 Bruce Lee game in addition to some new ones."

A well made conversion of a spiritual sequel to the C64 classic Bruce Lee by Datasoft. This game is notably larger and a lot more difficult in its normal mode. In this mode, pixel perfect jumping is required and there are obstacles that require very precise timing to get past. The enemies are there just to toy with you and don't pose much of a threat. It's more fun to try to get them to die trying to get to you as apposed to fighting them. Notably there is no score to worry about. The challenge is simply, collect all the bells and make it through to the final screen and beat the boss.

Overall, despite the C64 limitations it is still a good conversion comparing favorably against the original.
