Player's Review
"El Bandito has sabotaged Seymour's film. Get it back on track! travel to America, meet Indians, board the wagon train and prospect in a gold mine. Yea Haa action from start to finish."
Well, this is a pretty lazy spectrum conversion all things considered. The color palette and gameplay are pretty much exactly the same as the Spectrum version but differences include Seymour not bouncing around on the title screen, no in game music and no ending screen or credits. Item management can be fickle and I don't recall it being as annoying in the speccy game. I guess no color clash is a bonus though right?
Problems aside, I did enjoy this little adventure game. the levels are broken up into four bit sized pieces. You only have a few items and a few screens to use them on and you also get game genie level codes so you don't have to do it all in one run. Also, the levels seem to get shorter as you progress. It made the game more accessible and dare I say enjoyable to play, much like Crystal Kingdom Dizzy. In contrast to the nightmare that is Seymour at the Movies and Spellbound Dizzy which can take over an hour or more to get through without any checkpoints and that's only if you know what your doing.
