Player's Review
"Join super star Seymour in his Hollywood debut. Make it in the Movies. Meet frightening Frankenstein, evil Ding the Merciless, bash the big King Bong, and find Rick Bracy's true love."
A new character in the Dizzy mould using pretty much the same game engine at its core. This one is probably the least fun to play in the entire Seymour series due to its length even when you know what you are doing. Mostly the same issues as with Spellbound Dizzy although no need to clip through invisible walls here. Having a Multiface / Action replay cartridge makes a big difference so that you can actually save progress.
The gameplay requires you collect objects spread out over numerous screens and use them in the right places to progress, possibly unlocking other area and unblocking routes. The overall aim being to get a hold of the movie script from the directors office. A secondary goal is to find all the hidden Oscars which needs to be given to each character found in the game. You can only hold three objects at a time and they move thorough your pocket on rotation. It's so easy to accidently leave an item behind as you picked up another object.
Overall a poor conversion of the Spectrum/Amstrad game to the C64. The C64 game is much slower and movement has some issues. There are some animations missing but most notably the game has a very short background tune which really starts to irritate after a while. Quite an oversight for a game you are in for potentially hours. Note that my final score is only 188 at the end. I'm not sure of that is correct or that I have missed something as my Spectrum Longplay shows 200 points at the end. Also as with Wild West Seymour, the game credits are missing here. This version is much like "Spellbound Dizzy Lite" in that it does not support Joystick and you have to use Z,X,Space, Enter keys.
