Player's Review

"Eight Opponents, Digitised Speech, Two Player Option, Live Joystick Control, Full Matchplay scoring, A Sense of Humour, Superb Playability, What more is there in life? Buy It!"

180 is a pub based Darts game named after the highest score you can achieve in a 3 dart round.

In the single player game, you face off against three opponents chosen at random from a pool of 8. They get progressively more difficult requiring a perfect play in the final round.

The C64 version doesn't seem as well developed as the Spectrum release with the bar scenes looking unfinished. However the hand control is much easier and less floaty. The hand doesn't move until you press a direction before each dart so with practice you can land a treble 20 every time with a well timed Up - Left - Fire.

Scoring a 180 causes the game to shout 180! which feels very satisfying and it's a shame its the only speech in the game.

After the game is complete I show the Around the clock mode.
