"SPELLBINDING ACTION!
You are a highly trained Galactic commando deep in enemy territory. Power hungry leaders of the repressive Bungeling Empire have stolen a fortune in gold from the peace loving people, and you've just discovered their secret underground treasury. Your goal? To recover every last ingot of Bungeling booty. You'll be running, jumping, and climbing heroically, solving perplexing puzzles, and drilling passageways through stone floors and barriers using your laser drill pistol. You'll need more than fleet feet and good looks to get through this mission alive. You'll need your quick wits and brains!"
Fast Action Puzzle Game. Not one of my favourite games but as a game it's ok. This is the cartridge release of the game which contains only 17 unique levels. Once completed the levels roll over and the game goes on and on. The Disk version contains 150 levels but that's way to much for me and would lose interest long before completing. I am left wondering if anything happens if completing 150 levels on this cart version though. I believe the Tape version was released in both 16 and 150 level versions. Also If i play as badly as I have here, the game would be 8-10 hours long!!
The game is a little slower than the disk version as well. I probably have should have played this cart version in ntsc as I don't know if it had a worldwide release. Still, I believe the disk version plays a little faster. The Cart version also includes a level editor for making your own levels which replace the internal levels until the cartridge is reset. It saves the levels on to the cartridge but you can also save to tape/disk if you need more than the 17 slots.
I noticed after recording that the game does have variable game speed using +/- keys as well as being able to dig behind you when using the keyboard. Longplay could probably have been 10-15 mins long had I known in advance.
A sequel exists called Championship Lode runner which I might be more tempted to record as it only has 50 levels.
