Player's Review
"INTO OBLIVION - The IO combat craft must be piloted through astonishing landscapes, facing wave-after-wave of heavy alien firepower and definitive end-of-level guardians! IO is the ultimate shoot-em-up!"
Another shoot-em-up that is really short yet so difficult it will keep you busy for a long while. The game plays more like R-Type than Armalyte with fast enemy's and projectiles all gunning for you. The levels get a bit smaller the more you progress not leaving much room for manoeuvre or error. The bosses are big and fairly simple to destroy but you have to really watch out for the barrage of fast moving enemy fire.
Overall its a well made game with great gfx and sfx that seems purpose built for the C64. The difficulty will frustrate but the outro somehow makes it all worth it.
