Player's Review

"KWIK SNAX is an action packaged arcade game featuring DIZZY & THE FLUFFLES. The Fluffles are regarded as a party SNACK-FOOD by hungry monsters! At the start of the game, The Fluffles start out as EGGS. These soon hatch and DIZZY must guide the Fluffles out of the EXIT, before hungry party guests arrive looking for food! Some of these MONSTERS are RAVENOUS!! WATCH OUT!!"

This version of the game is vastly different to the 16Bit and Spectrum versions of the game. In those you would move tiles around to collect food in a specific order. The gaes presentation and music really stood out on the Spectrum in particular. The C64 game is a different game entirely and looks like dizzy was thrown in at the last minute in place of a different character. The game is often described as a mix of Flicky and Pacman. Id like to add a little16bit Troddlers to the mix.

The game has 20 levels with an additional five bonus levels. As noted in the blurb, the idea of the game is to get the troddlers ..er Fluffles to the exit. Building a train and getting them all home in one go will give the largest bonus score. At the start of each level you can choose a weapon which is useful for destroying enemies in your way or bits of wall blocking your path. They have to be used sparingly and maybe even strategically as you cant depend on any more spawning during the level.

During the longplay, you will notice I never get the courageous bonus award. These bonus points are awarded if you select the higher starting rounds at the start of the game and is awarded at the end of each stage. I show this at the end of the video as well as throwing lives away to reach Game Over.
