"FIGHTING SOCCER - A fast and furious game of nerve, skill and challenge that will bounce right out of your monitor!
Battle against ten countries in this international Olympic tournament and slide tackle your opponents through five gruelling rounds of intense play. Dribble, kick, shoot, head and foul your way to the Olympic trophy in FIGHTING SOCCER... "

I don't play many football games but this ones .. different. The game starts off quite promising with an animated intro and some upbeat music. But then we get to the game and your heart sinks as a ZX Spectrum crossover appears. The game moved fast but it is an illusion as the framerate suffers massively, ending up slower than the spectrum game. It is quite difficult to control your player as the game keeps jumping player and I end up mashing the buttons in the hope of tackling the ball from the opponents.

I played the tape version not realising the disk version has some extra scenes which I have edited it (as I didn't want to replay it) Overall while the game has great presentation, it falls flat when it comes to the gameplay. If you want to play Fighting soccer, play the arcade original or seek out any other version. A few continues used in the video but it helps pad the video and the result is a slightly lower rating at the end even though your are still acknowledged as champion.
