Player's Review
"Blinky, the sharpest Spook on the street is back in a Helter Skelter adventure to save the World from the evil designs of Arthur J. Hackensack, the mad Texan Billionaire. Using a Matter Transformation Weapon, Hackensack is holding the World to ransom, and only the super skills of secret agent Blinky can Save the day. Parachuting onto Hackensacks ship, the newly rained SS Titanic Is the easy part. Outwitting the horrible henchmen and marauding minions is going to be a whole lot harder!"
C64 conversion of the Amiga original. Whilst the opening presentation is missing, the game has transferred mostly intact. You control Blinky and your first objective is to travel around the ship shooting the sea shells and any enemies you come across (although the snails are invulnerable). The shells will either be bombs that will hurt you or a musical note forming part of a musical score revealing a key. You need to complete the musical score by taking the notes to the smoke stacks and once you have the full map revealing a key, you can enter area 2. In area 2, collect parts of the snorkel so that you can dive into area 3. In area 3, collect all the keys before climbing the anchor to area 4. There are also some energy pickups along the way to prevent drowning.
Area 4 is a new area I will call Part 2 as the gameplay is a little different. Here you will have three transporters and three areas you need to go. The forth will kill you. First off, we set the mirrors up to activate the yellow area. here we need to navigate the jumps and platforms to reach the gun. You can also collect crystals for score. Once back at the transporters, we go to the brown area to collect a green power pill. There are also a couple of score collectables. Once back at the transporters, set up for the yellow area where you face off against the evil Hackensack to eventually win the game.
Overall, it's a good conversion. The game is still recognisable compared to it's 16bit counterpart. It's colourful and moves well and the collision detection is mostly fair.
