Player's Review

"PRINCE CLUMSY has eyes for only one absolutely BEAUTIFUL princess. But will he find her? Or fall fate to her UGLY sister! Dash underground and on land through the huge world to reach the guarded castle where she lies prisoner. Which room is she held prisoner in? The Prince's way is blocked by several portcullis', find a key on each level to raise them. Fend of the clutches of crazy monsters with your dagger, but watch you don't step in some Super Glue! Other objects may give you BONUS POINTS, but don't drink the POISON! Find BREAD and ALE to replenish your energy, and avoid touching your foes at all costs!!"

This is a 2.99 budget release and resembles the look and gameplay of Ghouls and ghosts. It's quite short being one single level but for the price I think it has the perfect balance of everything. Once you know what to do it wont take too long to complete but there is fun to be had as you learn the way ahead.

The game isn't too difficult with plenty of health pickups spread about but your main concern is the constantly respawning enemies that appear right under you so you need to be on the move all the time shooting anything that moves. watch out for poison bottles though. The ball and chain will slow you down for a few moments which sometimes even helps.

Overall, it's a nice short game to pass some time that doesnt frustrate too much which is what a budget game should be about. There are a few oddities with the collision detection which han result in instant death on reswpawning which I show at the end of the video but also some alignment issue when you get to the top of the castle. The longplay isn't a speedrun and I tried to show the different weapons even if they weren't really needed.
