"BIGFOOT'S CARTOON ADVENTURE. Explore, gulp down fairy cakes and spinach, collect fuses then detonate the TNT- but don't sit on the lava else you'll burn ya bum!

A deceptively short adventure with few screens but a crazy difficulty level that puts you right off wanting to play through it. I had this on one of the Quatro collections and was a play once and never again experience.

There is not much to the game but the difficulty is ramped up by oversensitive controls. It is all to easy to long jump to your death. Every movement you make costs energy. walking, jumping, throwing stones, costs energy and you need to be careful not to do to many movements at once. You can pick up cakes and use for momentary invincibility to anything except water as well as Spinach for an extended energy bar, handy for longer jump sequencies.

You can only carry four items at once so it can be a bit of a juggling act if you want to have those food items at hand when needed as well as carrying the mission items. The longplay is far from optimal as im figuring it all out as I play and couldn't be bothered to redo it once I had the solution. Having to wait for energy to refill is what slows the overall pace down.

Overall, the gameplay ruins the experience of exploring and puzzle solving by having so many ways to die both by on screen obstacles and the controls. The one screen text can be hard to read ontop of the saturated backgrounds. The C64 game is completely different graphically and slightly different map layout overall. Instead of getting power from the power pylons for example, we tap into a streetlight.
