Player's Review

It's pool Simulator. At the games menu you can select between player vs cpu, two player or practice mode. Choose a table colour and then wait for the cpu opponent to be displayed at the bottom and you can challenge them. Choose between one and nine rounds per match and your away. Player always gets to make the opening break and have the first shot at pocketing a colour. Which ever you pocket first will become your colour. From then on, pocket all your remaining colour balls before finally the black to win. Pocketing the opponents colour is a foul and will give the opponent a free shot as will pocketing the white cue ball. Pocketing the black before all the colours is an instant round over with the opponent winning that round.

The longplay challenges all four opponents with a single round. It plays mostly ok but the controls at the top of the screen can be risky. The first icon allows you to aim your shot, the second and spin to the ball and the third sets the shot power. Next to those is the table reset and quit options and no, it does not ask you if you want to reset. At the end of the video I let it play the demo round.

Overall, this is barely any better than Pro snooker. Yes it has a bit more in the way of overall presentation but it seems rushed an unfinished with glitching tv host and the Break score doesnt work. But at least they added player vs cpu and four levels of difficulty. Some of the issues could be down to a bad cracked version played here as I can not find any preserved images of the original tape version to load from.
