Death smiles at us all. Lolis smile back.
Cave shmup.
Something about four girls stumbling through a portal during a life-or-death situtation...or something. Some old dude takes them in. They get magical powers or something. The manual has backstory. Wait...SHMUP = NO PLOT!
Cave shmup = LOTS OF SHIT FILLING THE SCREEN! Supposedly, this is one of Cave's easier shmups. Xbox 360 port of Deathsmiles include the Arcade version, Xbox 360 mode (higher ressy,improved graphics, and reworked mechanics, mainly Level system. Arcade locks out a level if it is chosen twice), Version 1.1 (top buttons are the fire buttons, Right Stick controls familiar. Scoring is different.), Arcade Mega Black Label, Xbox 360 Mega Black Label, and Mega Black Label Version 1.1.
For this somewhat decent [1CC] run, I go through Xbox 360 mode with Windia on default settings. As for path: A-1 Level 2, C-2 Level 3, B-1 Level 2, B-2 Level 2, C-1 Level 2, A-2 Level 2. Gorge (EX Stage) is skipped because it is a bitch to complete (and makes the last stage harder). I should've done A-2 on Level 3 since the boss isn't all that bad. Failed on a recharge on CH1,V2 C-2. I got close though. I DID had a good recording where I got the recharge, but I derp'd and ran into rocks and enemies because I thought I was in Power-Up mode (Power-Up mode allows you to go through non-boss enemies.) Could've done better in Ch.4 (I don't like using the Bomb button. -_-). I lost a life before fighting Jitterbug, robbing me of 1000 Item to get through Jitterbug shenanigans (so I can get 4 Life Bars before Tyrannosatan). Jitterbug could've been better, but controller had other thoughts (the analog is derpy.) Tyrannosatan is just plain meh! I still trip on the cube segment. -_-
All endings stuffed at the end of the video.
Don't expect a co-op version. My bro isn't great in the game. Heck, he doesn't even play these kind of games. He would just spam bombs (and my bombs. D=), take a dive, and then spam more bombs. It also would've been all Level 1.
I like the Stage Clear thing with the changing images and the little beat. :3 I also like Hades Castle theme.
Why is it that all the shmups I play are easy games? -_-
